About me

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space to promote therapeutic change and enhance the overall psychological wellbeing of individuals. I understand that life can be difficult and humans are capable of experiencing a vast array of painful emotions that can impact their ability to live a meaningful life.

I specialise in supporting people with their relationship with food, weight and their body. This includes working with emotional and binge eating, body image, self-esteem and those who experience weight stigma. I work in a holistic way, which means I take both the mind and the body into account. I'm conscious of how the body can hold trauma and use polyvagal theory to inform therapy work in understanding the mind-body connection and supporting people to learn strategies to manage their threat response in an unstable world.

I am committed to empowering individuals to address life’s challenges in a holistic manner. I work collaboratively with individuals to make sense of current experiences within the wider context of their life, taking into consideration biological, psychological and social factors. This shared understanding forms the basis of clear, evidence-based treatment plans with tailored, meaningful, and actionable goals to improve difficulties and live a valued life.

From my experience of working in a specialist neurodevelopmental service I am able to identify neurodivergence to support appropriate onward referrals for formal assessment as well as adjustments in therapy to support engagement.

Choosing a therapist can be a difficult and overwhelming decision. I offer 20 minute consultations without charge and with no obligation to book further sessions. This allows you to ask any questions you may have so that you can make an informed decision about commencing therapy.

Sessions last 50 minutes. I offer both short (6 sessions) and long term therapy (>20 sessions). I currently online provide online sessions either video or telephone.
