About me

Do you want a lively, insightful and engaged conversation about what is going in your life or relationship?  I have a lovely consulting room at the end of winding path, surrounded by trees.  No, it's not in the middle of the countryside, but in a quiet residential street in SE23.  I also have consulting rooms in Borough Market in SE1.  I am part of the number 42 psychotherapy practice.  I am often approached by individuals and couples from high achieving backgrounds, with a variety of emotional and psychological difficulties.  I offer short term and longer term help.

As well as being a psychotherapist, I am interested in family systems theory, and have a PhD in exploring transgenerational family dynamics (University of Essex 1999).  I can help you explore, edit and rewrite your family script, and help you chose your own direction in life.

I also hold a first degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (Oxford 1988) and this can help open us further exploration when thinking about psychological matters.

I look forward to your contact.  I operate a sliding fee structure, and can accommodate early morning and evening clients.

Training, qualifications & experience

I read PPE at Oxford University; I have a PhD based on research exploring intergenerational family dynamics (University of Essex)

I am an adult psychoanalytical psychotherapist (Guild of Psychotherapists)

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
