About me

Welcome. I am a UKCP Psychotherapist and Supervisor, who have worked with clients for 20 years. I aim to provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals to explore what is important to them. I am based in Frenchay Bristol.

People seek therapy for many different reasons. Some to tell their life story and find meaning, whilst also gaining insight and discovering new ways of Being. Others may come into therapy because they feel life is a continual struggle and or at a crisis point and need some support to find a way forward. I recognise it can often take great courage to ask for help and support.

Before embarking on a career in psychotherapy I worked with a range of organisations within the third sector, including Women's Aid, Mental Health Services, Housing for people with HIV and Refugees. I have a particular interest in working with diversity and the impact this has on a sense of self and belonging. I am especially interested in working with trauma and attachment issues.

My therapy approach falls more within Dialogic Gestalt and  Relational.  If you feel my approach fits with what you are looking for then please get in contact with me to arrange an initial meeting to see if we want to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

Masters in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy with Middlesex University

Post Grad Diploma in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy with BCPC

UKCP Registered and Accredited

10  Years Gestalt Personal & Professional Development with CHCP

Supervision Training with CSTD

I am a UKCP qualified humanistic and integrative psychotherapist with a strong interest in relational and Gestalt therapy. A widely held view, of which I agree, is whichever theoretical approach is used, it is less important than the quality of the relationship between client and therapist.

I have held a private therapy practice for 20 years working both short and long-term with clients.  I have worked as a Senior Therapist for The Green House (counselling service for people who have experienced sexual abuse and or rape). Previously I provided time limited therapy for the NHS, EAP, Trauma Foundation South West and SARSAS (Somerset & Avon Rape & Sexual Abuse Support).
