About us
Hello, I'm Nick Crowder, welcome to The Trellis Practice.
I get life can be tough and maybe confusing sometimes. Maybe questions we can't answer or feelings and thoughts we don't understand.
Wherever you may be, maybe I could be the therapist to help you unravel, discover and find resolution.
I'm an integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Therapeutic Coach, and Clinical Supervisor. I work with individuals, couples, and small groups, both in-person, and online, by phone, text, and email.
I work with individuals, couples and small teams, with one of my five primary service areas being 'Just for Men'.
We tailor all we do together to meet you at your point of need. To be a sounding board for you. To bring the expertise, professional insights and skills required to enable you to thrive and best the best version of you.
With self-awareness and intentionality, in whatever we do, knowing ourselves is powerful. It gives us an insight into why we tend to respond and behave in certain ways in specific circumstances. Knowing ourselves is also a solid step towards better understanding other people and with more clear-mindedness.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BA Hons trained therapist, and a Level 6 trained Clinical Supervisor. I am also a Registered Member of the International Coach Federation, Fellow of the RSA and Institute of Leadership & Management.
I am a co-founder of The College of Self-Organised Learning and a practice manager in this unique and highly academically proven methodology of learning to learn and self-development.
My experience spans nearly 30 years, both in the UK and internationally, including individual and small team work in developing countries.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

The Trellis Practice has a range of session costs. What is stated here is an indication. Also, as a registered charity, when we are in receipt of grant funding, we are able to offer free or subsidised sessions to those that may qualify.
