About me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist and am an Accredited member of the BACP and a member of the EMDR Association.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist I am able to use many varied techniques as I feel that each individual has different needs.

I believe that therapy is relational and therefore it is important for every client to feel safe and comfortable with me.  This is why I speak to you for a short call before booking in the assessment session and then the assessment session is a place for you to see if I'm the right person for you.

I specialise in trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, family dynamics and relationships. This list is not exhaustive.

I am also an EMDR (eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) Therapist. I'm able to integrate this into my normal therapy sessions but once we have memories and trauma to work on the sessions are 1.5hrs long in order to process them.

I provide sessions via my office in Berwick-upon-Tweed Mon-Fri between 9am-2.30pm.

I am also available Mon-Fri between 8am-7pm for Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp video, Teams & Telephone sessions for those who are unable to travel to my office.

Prices are £50 a session & £75 for an EMDR processing session.

I have worked in private practice since 2018. Prior to this I worked within the NHS, Cruise Bereavement and St. Christopher's Hospice in Sydenham.

Please see my website for more details:www.tabithatherapy.com.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
