About me
Are you finding life a struggle due to a difficult work or personal relationship?
Have you lost sight of who you are due to trauma, a great change, or grief?
Is there someone in your life, now or in the past, and that relationship is preventing you from being who you want to be and how you would like to live your life?
If you are struggling and need help to get to know and understand yourself and your experiences more deeply in order to lead a fulfilling life, I provide a warm, insightful, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where you can feel completely safe to explore whatever you need to explore.
My focus for you to decide
I work with deep compassion and total focus on you and your experiences. This enables a warm and authentic therapeutic relationship that can help you in many aspects of life including loss of self, lack of self worth and grief in its many forms.
Narcissistic and emotionally abusive relationships
I have a great deal of experience and knowledge of narcissistic personal and work relationships; working with people who have suffered a relationship that is having an adverse affect on who they are, who they would like to be and on their mental and physical health. Realising the reality of a challenging relationship can fill you with grief; grief for what you have lost and for what you may lose. Working through this and validating your experience and emotions is crucial to provide a platform to help you heal and go on to flourish as you would wish.
Parental Alienation
I also have knowledge of the traumatic reality of parental alienation. I can provide you with support and understanding; help you gain insight, calm the trauma with compassion and validation and help you go forward to live a life of hope and rebuilding.
Long term conditions
Having worked in the NHS with those with life life changing and life limiting conditions, I am able to help individuals, and their loved ones, cope with and manage the emotional fallout after a difficult diagnosis or a change in health circumstances.
Stress and trauma of health care work and personal caring.
I understand the unique pressures faced by healthcare professionals and those placed in a caring role in their personal lives. I can provide you with the support and help you manage the stress; find all important self-compassion and help you stay mentally and physically safe in difficult situations. Looking at the connection between mind and body and the importance of keeping yourself healthy in every way so that you can continue to support others.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
