About me
I am a dance movement therapist, gestalt, biodynamic body psychotherapist and humanist counsellor. I hold holistic psychotherapy and meditation diploma and a bachelor’s degree in sociology. I have worked in my private practice in Mexico, Spain, and Scotland. Currently, I am a registered member of the Association of Dance Movement Therapy Spain and the Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK.
With twenty years of experience working with groups and with fifteen years working as a psychotherapist, I have observed the difficulty of naming some experiences. That is why my psychotherapeutic approach starts from what the body expresses.
Our body stores all our history communicates with gestures and movements who we are. When we pay enough attention to our bodily sensations, we have access to a wealth of information about ourselves, which helps us more fully understand who we are, why we relate the way we do, and what we need.
By paying attention to our body, thoughts and emotions, we also find the skills and strength to make the changes that allow us to live more fully.
Getting Started
You can write me an email to arrange a first online session. This session is free of charge.
This is a relaxed half-hour conversation where I talk to you about who I am and how I work, answer your questions and ask you some general things about yourself. This first meeting serves us both, to know if my approach can be of benefit to you.

Movement is the basis of life
Movement psychotherapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that utilises body movement to explore, analyse and express what happens in people’s inner world.
It is a gentle and powerful practice that helps integrate aspects that have been ignored or repressed as a product of societal, educational or oppressive experiences. Together, psychotherapist and patient, we will build a safe and confidential space. In this psychotherapeutic process, patients can express their feelings and explore new ways of relating to themselves and the world.
Each session is different depending on the preferences, needs and mood of each patient. It can be entirely verbal or through movement. Most sessions usually involve a combination of talk, movement and creative therapies.
This approach can especially contribute to reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress and insomnia. It is also recommended for the treatment of eating disorders or traumatic experiences (e.g. childhood sexual abuse, gender violence, violence in general). All people can benefit from this psychotherapeutic approach, regardless of their mobility.
