About me

Hello, I'm Spiros, I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor & trainee psychotherapist, providing a supportive, contained and safe space within which to explore what might feel difficult, unsafe or troublesome, whether in the past or at this very moment.

Therapy can also help you explore long-term emotional patterns and behaviours that stand in the way of living a more fulfilling life, richer in meaning, authenticity, aliveness, joy, and deeper connection to yourself and others.

If you are seeking counselling and psychotherapy at this moment in your life, it may be because you are dealing with a specific issue or going through a particularly difficult phase for which you need support.

Working together.

I aim to understand and connect with your story, giving you room to bring and share all aspects of yourself; your grief, loss, heartbreak, despair as well as your longings, dream, hopes and joy - at a pace that feels right for you.

My commitment to you is that I will be alongside you in a respectful, empathic, and non-judgmental way. Our sessions can help you process any residue from the past, develop new coping strategies, be inquisitive, and experiment with new ways of being with yourself and others.

My training is integrative and holistic.

I draw from a range of theoretical perspectives and tools, to match your needs and best help you with what you may be struggling with. I work in a relational way, as I believe that relationships are central to our well-being and a lot of our suffering and distress happen when they break down or fail to provide what we need.

At the heart of my therapeutic practice is my deep-seated conviction that change is possible and that as human beings we can tap into the inner and outer resources to grow and feel fulfilled. I see therapy as providing a supportive space within which this process can take place.

I understand that committing to therapy takes courage.

If you would like to find out more about counselling, how we can work together and whether we are a good fit, feel free to give me a call. I will return your call within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can email me and I will reply within 12 hours.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
