About me

I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

I value individual integrity and a strong honest connection to self and others. I am not able to fix you but strongly believe that you have the ability to empower yourself. It would be a privilege to walk along side you as you navigate uncertainties and challenges in your life. In a  confidential non judgemental safe space where you are seen and heard we will discover together coping mechanisms, explore underlying issues and patterns of personal struggle.Together we will explore your desire for change and how this can be achieved, to relieve your suffering, improve mental health and emotional well being.

I started my training in a 12 Step rehabilitation center working with individuals on a one to one basis, facilitating group work, helping them to address and explore their unhealthy relationship with drugs, alcohol, relationships and many other problem areas. You may have not heard of this program, it basically is a design for living, that can be applied to many aspects of a persons life. Exploring the 'whys' (why things are like they are), and the 'hows' (how to make a change).

I understand that change can be difficult, you may be fearful of looking at the 'whys' and apprehensive of the 'hows'. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, anger, suicidal thoughts, relationship/family issues, work pressure/stress, body image, self-harm, substance misuse, loss/bereavement or trauma. Please get in touch if you would like to make an appointment or have any queries you wish to discuss further. Look forward to hearing from you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
