About me
When looking for a counsellor it is important to develop a relationship where you can trust and share your experiences.
Firstly here is a little bit about me. I work with both adults, children and parents. Along with supervising counsellors and school staff.
My pre counselling work has been in alternative schools and working with the family court systems.
What do I offer as a counsellor?
As a counsellor, I believe we need to create a space together where we can explore your thoughts and emotions and explore what you want life to look like.
Sometimes we can be blocked and don't know what this starting point looks like or the end point.
This could be looking at a specific event such as a relationship ending, bereavement or at other times a looking at your past and future goals.
My main counselling focus areas are working with trauma, cptsd, couples counselling, attachment and I am a registered adoption therapist.
I also work with autistic, adhd and PDA clients from pre assessment through to exploration of the impact this can have on day to day life. Often presenting as trauma and navigating relationships especially around rejection sesitivity disorder.
I recognise how difficult it can be to begin to open up about current and past experiences and the ongoing impact. I always say to clients all counsellors have been clients too. So we have been there and often go back there as clients ourself.
I can offer sessions on Zoom currently.
What can I offer as a supervisor?
As a supervisor, there is equal importance in developing our working alliance and a balance of client work, personal support and career development.
I work with adult counsellors in private practice and agency. Those counselling in schools, senior management teams within schools and Thrive leads.
I welcome counselling students both on adult and CYP training for personal therapy or supervision alongside their course and am happy to enter into a four-way contract with you the agency and training provider. I hold both my L6 cpcab Supervision qualification and a L6 in counselling children and young people.
We all start training as a novice an experienced, informed, reflective, supportive supervisor is key to support you developing into an ethical and confident counsellor.
I particularly welcome students who are cyp training or who work with autistic and adhd clients.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
