About me

If you are reading this, you have already taken a big step by considering that you may be helped by counselling.

Do you feel that you have no-one to talk to, that no-one is listening to you?
Do you feel overwhelmed and unable to cope, you are not good enough?
Would you like to make changes to your life but don’t know where to start and feel scared?
Do you feel alone following a loss?

Maybe it’s time to wake up and look forward to your day?
Or stop procrastinating and get things done you have been putting off?
Perhaps you want to feel happy being you?

I am Sarah and I am a counsellor in Haywards Heath who helps people to find a way through when everything feels overwhelming. If you have low self-esteem, I can help you to value yourself again. If you have experienced a bereavement, I can support you as you adjust to your life without your loved one. I offer you a safe place to talk and be heard. I will listen to you without judgement. Together we will look at what you are concerned about and gain an understanding of how best to move forward. You are not alone. Counselling can help.

You have been struggling for long enough, now is the time to take that first step to achieve your goals. I understand that it can be hard asking for help and even harder approaching a counsellor but I am here to support you.

I offer online, telephone and Walk and Talk sessions.

I offer a free 30 minute introduction session.

Feel free to contact me and you will receive a warm welcome and a confidential space to talk.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
