About me

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, tutor and supervisor based near King's Lynn.  I offer telephone, email or video call sessions. Online counselling allows you to connect with a counsellor regularly to receive support. Other advantages include greater flexibility (you can access your session from almost anywhere), greater choice (you’re not limited to your local therapists as there’s no travel involved), and greater options (so you can have a session in real time on the phone or by video link, or asynchronously by email).

I work with individuals aged 18 and over experiencing depression, anxiety, panic disorders, anger issues, and grief; those suffering from the effects of abuse, trauma, low self-esteem, or self-harm; those struggling with chronic illness or conditions such as cancer, ME/CFS and back problems; those contending with life-limiting issues such as agoraphobia, stress, and OCD; and those coping with life changes such as rehabilitation, relationship breakdown, redundancy, infertility or miscarriage, bereavement, and relocation.

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor each session to the individual needs of the client and may include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Person-Centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic approaches, as well as creative interventions and mindfulness techniques. I believe every client is unique and my aim is to create a space that enables people to express themselves, evaluate their situation, and explore their options whilst feeling valued, encouraged and supported.

I offer an initial session at a reduced fee of £35 to allow us to meet, discuss your goals for counselling, and complete the necessary paperwork.  Please allow an hour for this session and have your GP contact details ready.

If you would like to book an appointment, click the red 'Email me' button to send me a message, or use the mobile number under the photo to text me.  I will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a convenient time for us to meet for an initial session.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

ACC
Association for Christian Counsellors (ACC)

The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
