About me

Do you keep finding yourself in relationships or situations that leave you questioning yourself? Do you feel like you have lost yourself somewhere along the way? Perhaps you know you want things to change, but have no idea how to break the patterns that keep pulling you back. If it feels like everyone else has a manual for life while you are going around in ever-decreasing circles, counselling can help you understand why and begin to do things differently.

We live in a world where social media and AI can give us a greater understanding of our own and other people's relational patterns, but not necessarily the resources to understand how to work with them. Exploring your attachment style, for example, can be an important part of understanding yourself and your relationships. Together, we can delve into the patterns they may create, helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional security, and healthier ways of connecting with others.

I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental counselling space where you can safely explore what you are going through at your own pace. I understand how frightening, draining, and isolating it can feel to sit with overwhelming emotions, anxiety, panic, stress or low mood, especially when it feels hard to share with family or friends.

I work with anxiety, neurodiversity, emotional abuse, bereavement, grief, loss, betrayal, separation, divorce, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and life transitions. I also support clients experiencing isolation, loss of connection, ADHD or menopause related challenges, and mid-life difficulties.

I have a particular passion for supporting those healing from emotionally abusive, coercive, narcissistic, manipulative, or toxic relationships. I also work with individuals who recognise unhealthy patterns in their own behaviour and want to make meaningful change.

Whether you are clear about what you want to explore or feel confused and uncertain, both are completely okay. Our first session is an initial consultation where we look at what brings you to therapy and what you would like to achieve. If it feels right, we can then work together on a short or long-term basis.

Sharing personal thoughts for the first time can feel daunting, but you do not have to face it alone. I offer a safe space for healing, growth, empowerment, and personal development.

Life can change with a single decision. Email me today and we can start moving things forward.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
