About me

People seek therapy with me for a range of issues including
anxiety, low mood, loss & grief, life transitions, and low self-esteem. Not all clients pinpoint a specific reason, they just know that they need to talk, and that the time is now. Whatever your reason for choosing to meet with me, whether it be rooted in the past, present or future, we can look at ways of how life may be experienced differently and hold in mind the future you hope for.

I offer a Humanistic approach within a Person-Centred framework, incorporating aspects of Nature-Based Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Existential Therapy and Creativity. Sessions are held on The Knepp Estate, from my therapy room nestled in ancient woodland where you can experience the peace and beauty of the re-wilded landscape alongside your unique therapeutic journey. The tranquil setting of Spring Wood provides the perfect backdrop for deep reflection and personal growth, offering a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I also offer Walk & Talk Therapy along the footpaths of Knepp, incorporating nature-based therapy and mindfulness.

You are welcome to meet Moth my deerhound lurcher, if Animal Assisted Therapy feels right for you. She has a comforting, gentle energy which enables clients to relax and be present. AAT is especially helpful when working through traumatic events. Studies have shown that having a therapy dog in the room helps clients feel calmer and more connected, enhancing and complimenting the benefits of traditional therapy.

Please take a look at my website if you would like any more information.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and an advanced safeguarding certificate.

BACP

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
