About me

At times in our lives we can become stuck and feel unable to grow or move forward. I will listen closely to understand your world. Our work together, and the techniques we use will be shaped by you. Working with me, you can expect to feel respected, heard and cared for in a confidential and non-judgemental space. We will move at a pace you feel comfortable with. From our sessions, you may begin to experience a stronger sense of yourself, your resilience and your own inner-wisdom.

I am BACP registered and offer online and in-person counselling and psychotherapy from my base in Warwick. I provide immediate short-term support when life seems overwhelming or you feel alone. Or we can use longer-term work to explore complex issues in more depth and bring about lasting change.

I have experience working with a wide range of life-affecting experiences such as:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • addictive thinking and behaviour
  • disordered eating
  • low self-confidence
  • abuse
  • grief
  • issues within relationships and families
  • navigating transitions
  • adjusting to parenthood
  • the impact of long-term health conditions

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (PGDip), awarded by the Middlesex University and accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Psychosynthesis is an integrative (inclusive) approach which includes a range of practical and creative techniques drawn from both modern psychotherapy and ancient wisdom. This approach explores the interplay between mind, body and emotions and their impact on our life experiences and sense of self. Acting as your guide, we work towards creating a greater sense of inner harmony (synthesis) by accepting and including all aspects of our being.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
