About me

Hi, I'm Rhi.

I believe in supporting people to truly understand themselves and make lasting changes so that you can build a live you can genuinely thrive in.

Are you're struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem and fed up of feeling like you're always just about managing? Maybe you’ve been labeled as over sensitive, anxious or an over thinker.

Do you feel your feelings deeply? If they stop you in your tracks and they’re currently more in charge of you than you are of them.

Together we can untangle your feelings and get to know them so that when they do show up, they no longer knock you over sideways. Instead, you finally understand them in a way that enables you to listen to your gut and make the decisions that are best for you.

I will create a space where you’re accepted and understood as you are and together, we'll work towards helping you to find confidence, calm and a life that actually feels like yours.

My approach is neurodiversity affirming so whether you've recently been diagnosed, you self identify or you're exploring the possibility of ADHD, Autism, AuDHD and you're looking for a space to process and understand what this might mean for you, you're very welcome to get in touch and know that you'll be supported here.

I understand that finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming and this is just a short intro into how I work. To find out more, I have included lots more about me and my approach on my website and Instagram. You can also email me to book an intro call which is a free, no obligation chat to give you more opportunity to decide if I'm the right counsellor for you.

---  What to expect from me ---

Trauma informed - I take a ‘zoomed out’ approach to counselling. You are a person, not a diagnosis or a list a symptoms. You have experienced a whole lifetime worth of things that may be contributing to where you are now. Together, we’ll make sense of everything and find a path forward.

Relational - I know just how tough it is to talk about the painful things that have brought you here. My aim is that counselling is the space that you can melt into each week, where you can be honest and let it out, where you know that someone has got you!

Empowering - You’re probably hard on yourself. Feeling anxious, low or lost is hard enough and then we pile frustration or shame on top. Together, we’ll work on finding you again and figure out the next steps from there.

Knowledge based - I love it when my clients get to the stage when they start to tell me what they think I’ll say next! You’ll leave counselling with the knowledge to understand yourself and those around you, helping you to move forward and take on whatever may come your way.

Celebrate your wins! - Trust me, there will be plenty!

---   Teens  ---

I have had many years of experience working with teens in all kinds of settings. I was previously responsible for setting up counselling services for teens, both in schools and in the community. I loved this role because it allowed me to advocate for teens and find new and creative ways to ensure everyone could have the support they wanted and needed. This means I have many years of experience working with teens, parents, teachers and any other professionals required to help you find a way forward. I know that each person is different and therefore my approach is different for each teen that I meet. I will work with you to find out what works for you now and what might help you into your future, whatever that might look like for you!

Whether you are struggling at school or at home, if friendships or relationships are feeling difficult or you’re struggling with self confidence or anything else. I can support you to explore the things that are important to you and navigate the things you are struggling with.
