About me

Hi. My name's Nordia and I'm the Practice Director of Restoration Therapy.

We help individuals who are struggling to manage life’s challenges by providing therapeutic support to be the best version of themselves.

  • Regularly battle sleepless nights?
  • Have anxiety or panic attacks?
  • Struggling with depression or low moods?
  • Struggling to cope with difficult life experiences?
  • Tired and weary of battling the past?
  • Wishing you could live life to the fullest?
  • Routinely feel worthless, hopeless or helpless?

Nobody should have to experience the challenges many of us have faced. We go through life facing one “bump” after another but oftentimes without the support we need. If we're honest, it grieves us to see our clients struggling but we became psychotherapists because we wanted to help.

Get in touch today and let's see how we can support you.

Visit our website for more information about how we can help.

We also have payment options if you live in the West Midlands- Enquire for more details

Training, qualifications & experience

I am the Practice Director at Restoration Therapy. I also hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as a PGDip in Counselling Skills.

I've had many experiences that led me to open my clinic, working in several art therapy and psychotherapy settings, in primary and secondary schools, private clinics, the NHS and CAMHS.  Bringing these different experiences together, it's empowered me to build a service that offers support to a wide variety of people.

Confidentiality

As a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), we abide by their Code of Practice and work within their Ethical Framework, any information you disclose will be treated confidentially.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I provide affordable counselling and emotional support to teenagers and adults.

  • Initial consultation: £50
  • Group Sessions: £40.00
  • Counselling session: £75
  • Student counselling session: £65
  • Couples counselling: £110

The 15% discount is for secondary school, college and university students of any age on all sessions after the initial consultation.

Initial consultation

The initial consultation is a "finding out" pre-therapy meeting where you can tell me a little bit about your situation and what you would like to address. I'll also ask you to complete some paperwork.

After the initial consultation, I'll invite you to commit to three counselling sessions. You'll benefit the most from therapy when you're committed to the process. Having this stipulation in place increases the likelihood that you'll see the process through to completion. After these three, bookings are open-ended, and I'll continue to support you for as long as you need our assistance.

How do the sessions work?

Sessions last for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on if you're a minor or an adult. They are client-led, which means we don't come with an agenda, but instead, they are done with your needs and challenges as the focus. For this reason, it's often best to come to a session with an idea of what you'd like to discuss.

I'm here to support you to be the best version of yourself. We'll explore possible strategies and will challenge your thoughts to give a different perspective. You can expect a safe place and I will always show you empathy and respect.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
