About me

I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,  Mindfulness and Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Schema Therapy. .

The types of techniques that I use depend on the nature of your difficulties and your therapeutic goals. Following an initial assessment, goals will be set and agreed upon and these will be regularly reviewed during treatment. An empathic, non-judgmental and compassionate relationship will provide a safe environment where you can explore and understand whatever you might be experiencing. I will work collaboratively with you and you will learn strategies and acquire tools and techniques to help manage your difficulties and improve your mood.

I currently work with Stress, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Phobias, Social Anxiety, Anger management, Bereavement, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Eating Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Childhood Trauma.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Following my Master’s Level Degree in Developmental Clinical Psychology at Parma University in 2004, I completed a four year training course in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). While training in CBT, I have gained experience working for an Eating Disorder Service, a Children and Adolescents Mental Health Service and an Adult Primary Care Service for the Italian National Health System. After registering with the HCPC, I worked in different settings for NHS and private.

I am passionate about helping people find ways to overcome their difficulties and I value the emotional connection with my clients.
