About me

I am an experienced accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with 14 years’ experience of working in private practice with adults and young people.

Effective and successful therapy is built upon the foundations of a trusting relationship formed between a client and their therapist.  It can be a great relief to share our fears or concerns with someone who we trust, who is separate to our situation, who will empathise with our feelings and help us work through them.

Everyone has different ways of coping with their personal challenges and the difficulties that modern day life can throw at us.  As an integrative practitioner I work with different therapy models and techniques to create the best therapeutic process to meet each individual person’s needs.  My approach will help you to freely explore your thoughts and feelings as I support you through this process, empowering you to make positive choices and changes, enhancing your relationships and quality of life.

My practice is a warm and peaceful log cabin at my home in Chawleigh, Mid Devon situated just off the A377 between Crediton and Barnstaple.  I offer a welcoming and private, non-judgemental space where clients can feel at ease to talk openly and confidentially about their challenges and deeply sensitive issues.

Counselling can help with change, adjustment and confusion at a point in your life where you may feel stuck and are struggling to move forward.   Some of the issues I work with include anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship conflicts, anger, stress and general life overwhelm, low self-esteem and loss of confidence.

I offer an initial meeting at a reduced fee, giving you the opportunity to meet with me personally and discuss things in more detail before deciding whether you would like to go ahead with some sessions.
