About me

I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist working in both a specialist mental health NHS service and in private practice since 2007. I offer a range of psychological therapies, supervision, consultation, teaching and training online and face to face from a consulting room in Soho, London.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have worked in the NHS for over 16 years with people who are experiencing a variety of mental health problems and psychological difficulties.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Psychology and Sociology from Oxford Brookes University which is recognised by the British Psychological Society. I achieved my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Sheffield in 2012.

I am registered as an accredited DBT Therapist with the Society of DBT UK and have a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) from Bangor University.

I integrate DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR) to provide a tailored psychological intervention for my clients.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
