About me
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I am Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist working in Hove, and online - if my profile resonates with you please do get in touch for a free of charge initial consultation.
How I work
I am a warm and non-judgemental therapist, offering a space where you can show up as your full self.
I have been trained in and work with a range of different therapeutic modalities (Person Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic etc), tailoring the therapeutic approach to work uniquely with individual clients.
Our backgrounds and preferences shape the way in which we process information, heal and communicate, as such I believe that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to therapy which is why the Integrative approach is the way I practice.
I encourage openness and welcome feedback and temperature checks to enable our working relationship to be as useful to you as possible.
I am passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life and I am particularly the Global majority, it is important to me that clients feel safe and welcome in the room with me.
What to expect from your first session
First sessions can sometimes feel nerve-racking and it can be a hard to know where to start - not to worry! Your first session will be gently guided by me as we work through an Initial Assessment, this gives me an opportunity to get an overview of your story and allow you space to share detail on what has brought you to therapy.
As our work together evolves, you will take the lead when it comes to what we discuss. Some weeks may look and feel different from others and sessions can sometimes take unexpected turns, because of this I encourage my clients to remain openminded.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been in private practice for a year and a half, working in person and online. My commitment to the BACP sees me partake in CPD, frequently undergoing training and research around issues that support me to further broaden my world view. I am an avid reader and often recommend relevant material to my clients.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from The University of East London.
The Awareness Centre- working with clients on a long term basis, allowed us to build strong foundations and unlock patterns in their lives, explore dynamics within their relationships and finding ways in which to move forwards.
Mind - Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster- working at Mind offered a more solutions-focused approach to therapy where we worked together to re-write the script.
Battersea Befriender Network- working with individuals who were isolated from society due to mental health conditions.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
