About me

Welcome! I’m Noemie Redon, an experienced and qualified Art Psychotherapist working with adults, young people, and children from the age of 10.

My sessions are non-judgmental, honest, and committed to help you understand what is going on for you as well as respecting your pace. The sessions can be only verbal and there is no need to be skilled at art. Sometimes, talking can feel too challenging, and working with creative resources can open new ways of expression. My approach is focused on working with feelings and felt senses in the body because emotions are a key indicator of what is really going on for you.
It is also focused on finding a connection with the individual so we can work together on your needs. I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, loss, and bereavement.

Many of the young people and adults I am working with have experienced trauma in their past and are seeking help to process the traumatic experiences. Art Psychotherapy can be a creative process where past events cannot be changed but how we respond to them can be transformed.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy. I have full membership with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as a member of the British Association of Arts Therapists (BAAT) abiding by their ethical framework for good practice.

  • Certificate in Trauma, the Brain, and Recovery
  • Certificate in Healing Trauma with guided drawing, a bilateral approach to sensory body mapping
  • Certificate in Working with looked after children and their families: complex trauma and art therapy

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information

The initial consultation is designed to provide the time and space to consider the reasons for seeking therapy and to get a sense of whether this way of working is likely to be helpful to you.

If the decision is made to continue, arrangements for ongoing therapy can then be made. This takes place once weekly (or more frequently) at a mutually agreed time and day.

Should you decide not to continue, I can discuss and recommend what sort of help may be more suitable for you.

All sessions last 50 minutes.
