About me

Welcome! I'm Natasha, a dedicated and compassionate counsellor based in London. With a deep commitment to supporting individuals on their journey towards improved mental health and overall well-being, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my counselling practice.

Approach: Creating a safe and supportive space is paramount in my counselling practice. I believe in fostering an environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy and psychodynamic therapy, I tailor my approach to meet each client's specific needs and goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

Specialisations:

Anxiety and Stress Management: I specialize in guiding individuals to effectively manage anxiety and stress-related challenges. Drawing from my extensive experience as a teacher and my background with the NHS, I adopt a solution-focused approach. Together, we'll define clear goals, even if clients are unsure of them at first. Some individuals have learned to repress their needs as a coping strategy, and our initial goal might be to uncover these needs. Through a collaborative and personalized process, I empower clients with practical strategies, working with unconcious core beliefs, to reduce anxiety, develop resilience, and cultivate a lasting sense of calm.

Life Transitions and Personal Goals: Life transitions can be overwhelming and unsettling, but they also offer opportunities for growth and self-discovery. As a solution-focused therapist, I specialize in helping clients navigate these transitions. Whether you're dealing with changes in career, relationships, or personal identity, we'll work together to define clear goals and create a meaningful, fulfilling life that aligns with your values and aspirations.

Support for Children and Young People: With my background in education and experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, as well as individuals with diverse learning styles, I offer tailored support to address educational and emotional challenges. I understand the unique needs of children and their families, and I'm here to provide guidance and solutions for their specific situations. Whether it's addressing academic challenges, emotional issues, or behaviour management, I'm committed to helping children and their caregivers navigate these complexities and achieve positive outcomes.

Experience:

With a background in education and a diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counseling, I have worked as a primary teacher and counsellor, gaining a deep understanding of the unique struggles individuals face at different stages of life. My experience spans educational settings, private practice, and NHS counseling placements, equipping me with the skills to provide effective support to individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
