About me

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I know that it may not be easy to seek help and support in times of need.

Perhaps you have been affected by loss, traumatic events, anxiety, stress, anger, relationship issues, identity or would like to live a more satisfying and meaningful life. Perhaps you are curious as why you react a certain way to situations, or encounter certain relationships and want to explore why.

Whatever your reason for looking for support now, I would be honored to be part of your journey. A journey towards self-development, awareness and emotional healing. I am a Qualified Gestalt counsellor, with experience of working in the Charity and private sector, offering both long term and short term therapy to Adults, Adolescents and Couples. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental, respectful space for us to work together to explore the difficulties you face .

Having had experience working with a diverse range of clients, I understand that you and the issues that you face are unique. My approach is to consider your individual needs in our sessions together. I work with the many aspects in how your difficulties present. This means that I can also explore with you how you may experience bodily responses and Physical reactions to the emotional difficulty. Working with a here and now perspective we can explore how past events and future worries may be affecting your present experiences.

Our first session is seen as an assessment session. In this session you can ask any questions that you may not have yet asked regarding the process. We will also discuss what you would like to achieve with therapeutic support, and an opportunity for you to see if you feel that I would be an appropriate match for you, as the therapeutic relationship is a very integral part of therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
