About us

Life. The way we think, behave and feel are all emotions that give us form. Through overcoming these emotions and becoming the person you desire to become will enhance your lifestyle, confidence and self esteem. Mindset has been created for people like yourselves who want assistance in changing your life and improving your lifestyle, whether you are struggling with anxieties,depression, addictions to name a few, I have a vast experience in working with clients who have experienced positive changes in their lives after receiving counselling. I also have a vast experience in working with couples who have experienced communication breakdowns affecting the relationship and have found counselling to have benefited positive change of enhancement. My sessions are always client led, working in a therapeutic atmosphere creating a safe place to explore whatever the client has concerns with,allowing for change to take place.

I am the creator and founder of Mindset , my name is Kathy I believe that anyone can change themselves or circumstances that appear in everyday life. By accepting Mindset you are initially taking the first step towards the lifestyle that you desire.

With a range of therapies and solutions available to you, I am confident that I will have something to suit your needs. I ensure that all of my sessions are tailored towards you, where you set the boundaries, aims and outcomes that you want to achieve. I work within the ethical guidelines set out by BACP to which I am also a member of.

Training and education is an ongoing process as we as individuals never stop learning and must be open to processing new information.
With the training and experience that I have including; AQA Advanced Diploma Level 3,Level 2 in sexual relationships, Training within areas such as; Child Protection, Harm, Grief, Bereavement and Substance Misuse. I can ensure
you that your sessions with me are of a high standard.
whatever you are finding difficult to cope.I can offer confidential support with relationship difficulties,anger management,anxieties,panic attacks or how to keep stresses under control so as to keep you living the life you want and deserve.
I can also offer couple counselling where together we explore the relationship in a safe and non judgemental environment Looking at ways to help you both achieve the relationship you want and deserve,I works with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Brief Intervention. These styles of counselling are then chosen within the initial session.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

£70 per couple per session.
if day time is unsuitable then we offer evening and weekend appointments as we try work around what suits clients needs.
