About me
Life can be difficult sometimes and if you are struggling at the moment, talking things through in confidence may really help you.
I work with adults and specialise in stress and anxiety, as well as supporting clients with a range of issues such as depression, bereavement, loss, life changes, menopause, anger, empty nest, fears and phobias, self-limiting beliefs and negative behaviours, panic attacks, low self-esteem and low confidence, relationships problems, stopping smoking, addiction, losing weight, emotional eating issues and sleeping problems.
Therapy can be life changing and bring about an awareness of yourself and others which can enhance your life. It helps you look at unhelpful, unwanted thoughts, habits and behaviours, enabling you to look at things differently which leads to positive change.
I am passionate about looking after our mental wellbeing. I believe that everyone has the potential within themselves to make choices or changes, no matter how small, to unlock their inner potential, to fully thrive and have the confidence and resources to live a fulfilling life. With a warm and calm approach that helps you feel at ease as you explore the reason you sought therapy, I create a safe environment of honesty and trust, guiding you towards awareness and understanding of the problem, of yourself, of your life events and relationships. Combining my experience and intuition, I shine a light on the root cause of the problem and help you to find ways to move forward and achieve personal growth.
I'm trained as an integrated therapist and I believe one type of therapy doesn't suit all people, therefore a treatment plan for you may include a number of focussed tools and techniques for you to use, including NLP, CBT and hypnotherapy. I take a holistic approach and together we discuss what's right for you.
Before retraining as a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist, my background was in HR management and so I understand how work related problems and relationships can have a significant impact in people's lives.
I offer short, medium or long term therapy depending on your needs and requirements and this can be on the phone, in person or video call. When it's time for therapy comes to a close, we'll work towards an ending that feels right for you.
It can be an emotional and sometimes painful experience to talk about what brought you to therapy and an important part of this is building rapport, trust and confidence in our therapeutic relationship, so you can feel safe to talk and tell your individual story.
If you would like to find out more about me, please visit my website. Or I offer a complimentary twenty minute introductory call where we can have a chat and you can ask me any questions.
If you feel drawn to me and my therapy style, please reach out to make an appointment and we can book in your first session.
