About me
You can be assured of a warm, friendly, confidential and non-judgemental approach, where empathy and compassion, dignity and respect is at the heart of what I do and how I work.
Life can throw all kinds of things at us, and leave us feeling troubled and finding it hard to cope:
Anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, changes at work or redundancy, abortion, stress, burn-out, financial problems, relationship difficulties, (personal and work related), bullying, health problems, anger, the pandemic.
Low self esteem, self limiting beliefs and a lack of confidence can hold us back from achieving our goals.
Losing weight or stopping smoking can be hard.
Sometimes it can be difficult to see how things will change, but talking things through with someone independent to your family and friends can really help you understand what's going on in your life and how you can move forward.
I'm trained as an integrated therapist and I believe one type of therapy doesn't suit all people, therefore a treatment plan for you may include a number of focussed tools and techniques including NLP, CBT and hypnotherapy. I take a holistic approach and together we discuss what's right for you.
Before retraining as a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist, my background was in HR management and so I understand how work related problems and relationships can have a significant impact in people's lives. I'm also a qualified coach and volunteer at a local hospice as a Bereavement Counsellor.
I offer short, medium or long term therapy depending on your needs and requirements and this can be on the phone, in person or video call. When it's time for therapy comes to a close, we'll work towards an ending that feels right for you.
My flexible working pattern means that I can offer morning through to evening appointments and weekends times to suit.
It can be an emotional and sometimes painful experience to talk about what brought you to therapy and an important part of this is building rapport, trust and confidence in our therapeutic relationship, so you can relax and feel safe to talk and tell your individual story.
If you would like to find out more about me, please visit my website. Or I offer a complimentary twenty minute introductory call where we can have a chat and you can ask me any questions.
If you feel drawn to me and my therapy style, please reach out to make an appointment and we can book in your first session.
