About me

Support When You Need It Most

We all face times in life when things feel overwhelming or out of our control. There is no shame in reaching out for support – in fact, it takes real strength and courage. Thankfully, the stigma around mental health support is fading, and more people than ever are seeking help to improve their wellbeing. If you're struggling, please know that you don’t have to face it alone – I’m here to support you.

As a qualified and experienced counsellor, I offer an integrative approach, meaning our work together is led by you – your needs, your pace, and your goals. This non-directive style allows me to create a therapeutic space that’s tailored specifically to you.

I draw on a range of effective therapies to support meaningful change. These include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Hypnotherapy

Together, we can explore the challenges you’re facing and work towards letting go of unhelpful, learned behaviours that may be holding you back. The good news is – what has been learned can be unlearned. With the right support, change is possible, and I’m here to help you move forward.

My own specialities are bereavement counselling, counselling for anxiety or stress and counselling for trauma and sexual violence. However I have been trained in counselling for many issues as follows:-

Anxiety
Stress
Self Confidence
Relationship Issues
Bereavement
General Unhappiness
Loss of Direction

Feeling lost or dissociated

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
