Are you going through a tough time and feel on your own.
You can talk to me and share how you feel.
I am a fully qualified counsellor who has worked in various agencies supporting clients with mental health and a variety of different presenting issues . I have had experience of working with addiction , suicidal ideation ,low self-esteem,anxiety and depression. I have worked with both men and women and young children.
My recognised qualification is a CPCAB Level Four Therapeutic Diploma in counselling. I am a registered member of the BACP and working towards accreditation. I have worked at Mind in Cambridge and 5th Avenue in Harlow. I currently volunteer at the Cogwheel Trust in Cambridge. I believe counselling should be available to everybody.
As a Person Centred Counsellor .
I will not judge you for who you are or what you believe and value you as a person. I will be genuine and honest through out .I will enter your world with empathy and walk in your shoes to understand how life is for you . you will be free to express your voice, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and get a clearer perspective of you're current situation and how to move forward . I am here to support you through chaos and despair. Everything we talk about will be confidential.
We can use the time to explore how you feel in the here and now. Gain a deeper understanding of what you are going through. Work together to achieve the goals we have discussed in the assessment session or when we have a review . I offer short term and long term work .
I also use.CBT ( cognitive behavioural therapy) which helps us gain a better understanding of how the way we think can have effect on how we feel about ourselves . Recognise unhelpful ways of thinking that effect the way we react to situations or determine how we feel and lead to anxiety or depression.
I can offer a free 20 minute phone assessment session where we can establish what has bought you to counselling and what you would like to achieve from the sessions. This will be at a time arranged by email or you can leave a message and I will phone you back. We can also arrange the time and date for our first counselling session.
I offer afternoon and evening sessions and free parking.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
