Maidstone Mindfulness Therapy
Mindfulness- Based Counselling for various issues. You learn mindfulness and address your individual issues, and any changes you want to make.
My aim with counselling is to listen carefully and offer you a space to think in a calm, non-judgemental manner. In this space we can work together to address your issues, thoughts, feelings, and any changes you want to make.
Life inevitably involves emotional pain, but through this approach you can learn to take a different perspective on your problems and your life. I will help you drop the struggle with emotional pain and find more vitality in your own life.
I use a Mindfulness-Based Therapy that helps you develop psychological skills to handle painful thoughts and feelings effectively. I work at a pace that suits you, so gradually your difficult thoughts & feelings have much less impact & influence on you. This then allows you to make changes, or put your energy into things you want to do.
This helps you accept what's out of your personal control, and commit to taking action that enriches your life. This is an evidenced-based cognitive behavioural type of therapy. It's a very active therapy that actually teaches you many psychological skills for you to use in your everyday life.
Mindfulness Therapy is an exciting new approach to deal with many types of distress including depression, anxiety, stress, and addictions.
I work using Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).

This is a Mindfulness Course for General Wellbeing. These classes teach you a number of skills (with & without meditation) that you can incorporate into your daily life to reduce general emotional & psychological struggle & to increase vitality & wellbeing.
Other benefits include: More calm & peacefulness, increased self-awareness, improved health, more self-acceptance & self compassion, more here & now experience, more connected to yourself & others, reduced suffering- physical & emotional pain, less judgemental, and increased appreciation of life.
This consists of 6 weekly classes of 2 hours.
This course does not replace counselling or therapy but it is very effective for most people with mild to moderate difficulties.
This Course is aimed towards helping you with our everyday issues of overeating, sleep problems, physical pain, relationships, addictions, habits, stress, anxiety, and depressive thoughts.
