About me

Hello and welcome. My name is Mario, and I offer online therapy sessions across the nation.
Are you currently navigating through anxiety, stress, or depression? Or perhaps struggling with anger management or haunted by the shadows of childhood trauma? If any of these resonate with you, you've come to the right place. I specialise in assisting adult clients from diverse backgrounds, ages, cultures, and sexual orientations.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, which allows me to tailor each session to meet your unique needs.
One of my primary professional focuses is the long-lasting impact of childhood trauma on adult lives. I'm also deeply interested in the mind-body connection and how one influences the other. Additionally, I explore the psychological effects of climate change, such as eco-anxiety and climate grief.
If any of this speaks to you, I invite you to reach out. Let's take the first step in your journey toward healing and self-discovery together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) in Advanced Psychotherapy. I trained at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy, complemented by an exhaustive four-year training in Transactional Analysis, enhanced by an integrative approach. My journey into clinical practice commenced in 2018, further enriching my diverse career tapestry.
Before venturing into psychotherapy, I obtained a Ph.D. in Science (non-medical) and qualified as a teacher. But it was my own therapeutic journey, beginning eight years ago, that genuinely transformed my life and inspired me to help others in a similar fashion. This transformation imbued me with a fervent passion for mental health care.
I firmly believe in the power of talking therapies, not just as a treatment but as a pathway to self-discovery and empowerment. These therapies have the potential to help you regain control of your life, uncover your true self, and ultimately achieve your life goals.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
