About me

I am a Consultant Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and have had a private practice, Woodlands Consulting and Therapy, since January 2008. My therapy rooms are based in Norwich, with ample parking and easy access to public transport. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I offer assessment and therapy for a range of difficulties, such as relationship problems, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and trauma. People can often experience difficulties that may feel overwhelming and may be impacting on various areas of their life. I will undertake a comprehensive assessment whereby your current difficulties are explored and considered within the context of your life experiences, relationships, abilities and cultural background. Using this information we will explore together your options for therapy, and what would suit your needs best. I am trained to use a range of therapies and will tailor interventions to suit your individual needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Chartered Clinical and Chartered Forensic Psychologist and have extensive experience in a range of therapeutic approaches. I am also a CAT (Cognitive Analytic Therapy) practitioner and supervisor. I specialise in working with adolescents and young adults, but also work with adults and older adults.

Please visit my website for more details about my qualifications, experience and specific areas of expertise.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
