About me

I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist who recently retired from the NHS, after over 30 years of dedicated work in Children and families mental health. It is hard to see our children struggle or to acknowledge our struggles as parents. Children might struggle with anxiety, trauma, and a variety of psychological issues that might effect their relationships, their sleep or their learning.

I offer a safe and not judgemental space for parents - infants, under fives, children, adolescents and young adults (up to 25 years of age) a space to explore their difficulties and to move on. I also offer parents who might be going through a difficult time a space to talk in confidence and to be supported.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained in Italy as a Clinical Psychologist and as a child psychotherapist at The Anna Freud Centre.

I worked in several CAMHS Services and on the Family Unit at The Cassel Hospital with parents and infants.

I also work with Placement Support, an organisation who works with adopted children, children in care and the ones at risk of family breakdown.

Additional information

I can offer online or face to face sessions. With young children, I can only offer face to face sessions.

Further information

Therapy can help children, adolescents and young adults understanding their own feelings and how they affect their life. Being able to make sense of those feelings and the possible links with the past brings further understanding and a relief that makes it possible to develop more effective ways of coping with life and relationships.

I have a particular interest in under fives to address the early relationships with their parents to hopefully prevent then from becoming more chronic and established in less helpful ways of coping.
