About me

I am currently available for face to face sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays in Mold and online and telephone sessions in the evening.

I am a qualified counsellor specialising in the person centred approach and have  undertaken additional training to become a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) practitioner.  I am experienced in helping people to work through their personal difficulties, So, If you require extra support because of any difficulties and traumas that you may be experiencing in your daily life,  I can help you explore and understand yourself, your thoughts, feelings and emotions and provide you with the space and support to help you identify areas you're finding difficulty with.

I provide a professional and confidential service. Long or short term therapy. Face to face, Online and Telephone.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified person centred counsellor. I have a background working in mental health services and experience working as a recovery practitioner with carers and families of loved ones with serious mental illness. Experienced in counselling for a charity that encourages and enables women to take control of their lives, move forward, and overcome adversity.

I am insured and registered member of the BACP(British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) adhering to their ethical guidelines. I attend regular ongoing private clinical supervision, training courses and workshops which form my Continuing Personal Development (CPD) continually required by the BACP.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
