About me

Do you feel stuck in recurring patterns, wondering why your relationships or career feel so challenging? Perhaps you’re weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, or the pressure of family expectations, caught between pleasing others and staying true to yourself. You might feel missed in your relationships, carry the emotional weight of being the “fixer” or “peacemaker” in your family, or find unhelpful behaviours or thoughts getting in the way. Sometimes, you simply want someone to hear you.

Do you:

  • Find yourself stuck in unhelpful thoughts or behaviours, unsure how to move forward?
  • Wonder why you feel anxious, burnt out, or disconnected from your true self?
  • Feel overwhelmed by family expectations or fear of letting others down?
  • Struggle with setting boundaries or speaking up for yourself?

Therapy doesn’t have to feel daunting or overwhelming:

  • It provides a compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore what’s holding you back.
  • We can untangle hidden influences like family patterns, expectations, or childhood experiences to help you understand yourself better.
  • You’ll gain tools and insights to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

Therapy can help you build stronger relationships and live more authentically by:

  • Exploring how family scripts, childhood experiences, and inherited patterns have influenced your beliefs and behaviours, so you can create healthier ways of being.
  • Helping you find your voice and develop the confidence to set boundaries, so you can feel more in control of your life.
  • Strengthening your self-awareness and self-esteem, so you can live in alignment with your values and true identity.

As an experienced and accredited Psychotherapist and Senior Coach Practitioner, I help clients untangle the past, understand how it shapes their present, and create meaningful change for the future. My core approach is rooted in Transactional Analysis, and I draw on creative techniques such as sandtray therapy, guided imagery, and somatic body work to tailor the therapeutic process to each client.

I specialise in working with issues like anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges, including those influenced by family patterns or intergenerational dynamics. Clients often tell me I’ve helped them:

  • Develop the self-confidence to set boundaries and make empowering choices.
  • Reconnect with their authentic selves and create a more fulfilling life.
  • Find clarity and hope.
  • Build stronger, healthier relationships with family, friends, and partners.

If you’re ready to explore how therapy can help, I’d love to hear from you. Please email or call me to book a free initial consultation, and we can discuss how I can support you on your journey toward healing and growth. Alternatively you can book a call with me through my calendar link: https://calendly.com/hello-louisehiles/consultation

Further information

After spending over 15 years working in the private sector with digital and creative agencies I chose to develop my passion for supporting others to live more fully and retrain as a psychotherapist.
