About me

I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist specialising in a wide range of anxiety and mood disorders.

My background is varied predominantly working within the helping profession. I have had the privilege of supporting women and their families for the past 8 years, empowering them to take control of their lives and facilitating their recovery from Domestic Abuse.

Providing an integrative approach and working in an open and honest way I offer you the time and space that is required to work through difficulties without any pressure.

For any therapy to be effective I believe that we must be fully listened to and in doing so I will truly hear what is going on for you.

Taking the first steps with you in your journey, listening and being truly present will allow growth towards your goals.

I offer an introductory telephone call to help you to establish what you want to gain from therapy and to ensure you are ready to take the next step.

Our first session will give an opportunity for us to meet, with the most important part of this session being to ensure that you feel comfortable and to gain a clear picture of what is causing you difficulty.

In todays uncertain world it is vital that the therapy you receive is tailored and adaptable for you therefore I am committed to ensuring that you receive personalised therapy sessions that are suited to your individual needs.

I am currently offering telephone or online sessions with availability for new clients beginning September 2023.

I aim to respond to new client enquiries within 3 working days.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
