About me

I am open and interactive in my sessions so as to establish a real relationship with each person I work with. What you will experience in our sessions is my genuineness and sincerity.

I am professional, caring and non-judgmental. I am here to help you on a journey towards self-discovery and healing. I believe that it is the trusting relationship between myself and my clients that promotes healing and transformative change.

Therapy can help you to understand yourself better and move you towards creating a life that aligns with your values and aspirations. I am dedicated to providing you with a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions and challenges. Helping you to gain awareness and clarity.

You may have struggled to find someone who understands what you are going through, maybe you feel very alone and helpless. My commitment is to help support you through whatever challenges you bring. You don’t have to carry everything on your own. If you reach out to me you will receive my warmth, empathy and understanding.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP Level 4 Diploma qualified psychotherapist. I provide counselling services both in-person, online and via telephone.

For face-to-face sessions, I work from locations near Banstead High Street or my home address in Old Coulsdon. I can also offer outdoor therapy on the nearby downs if you would prefer to experience therapy as you walk.

I specialise in counselling adults and teenagers, I have extensive experience working with a range of presenting issues including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, low self-esteem, burnout, relationship issues and family issues. I have a comprehensive understanding of narcissistic abuse.

Whether it is past or current issues that you want to work through, you do not have to face your challenges alone.

I adopt an integrative approach to counselling. Basically, that means that the methods I use are underpinned by several theoretical concepts. There isn’t evidence to suggest that any single approach is superior to the others, so using an integrative approach allows me to incorporate various techniques depending on my client’s presenting needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
