About me

Mental health difficulties can leave us feeling rejected, isolated and alone. This is a hard cycle to break, because we tend to manage our problems in ways that leave us feeling even worse. This is all part of being human. It affects our relationships, our sense of self and our ability to function on a day-to-day basis. It is at times like this that we need support. Someone who can help us to view our problems through a different lens and can help us develop the tools we need to break the cycle. Many people find that therapy is the key to managing their difficulties whilst leading more meaningful lives.

I offer an initial free chat over the phone or via email. I have been trained in a number of psychology therapies, which I use depending on the presenting problem. Should you decide to proceed with therapy, then we will discuss your goals and decide what approach may work best for you. The therapeutic process is a collaborative one and you are always in control.

I always adopt a compassionate and empathic approach with my clients. I strive to use my lived experience and psychological knowledge to truly understand my clients and work alongside them on the road to recovery.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc (Hons) First Class Honours Degree in Psychology, an MSc Distinction in Forensic Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). I have also received additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Focused Therapy (SFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have over ten years of experience working with clients on a variety of mental health issues in various settings, including psychiatric hospitals and the community.
