About me

I am an integrative psychotherapist working with adults on a wide range of issues and life events. I provide a safe, empathic and supportive space from which we can work together to explore all that is going on for you right now.

You might be here because you want to address something very specific or it might be due to general feeling of unhappiness, unfulfillment or feeling lost or stuck in some way. Whatever it is, I can help and support you to identify and better understand negative patterns or cycles of behaviour and where they come from; gain clarity, self-awareness and self-compassion, and support you to move forward in a positive way.

I can help you to get out of your head and be more present in your life and to find out what a fulfilling and meaningful life looks like for you as a unique individual, whilst challenging and supporting you to take the steps to live it fully.

My training is such that I adapt my way of working to suit my clients needs and preferences. This means that I draw from a number of theories and apply a variety of different tools and techniques. We are all unique and my approach is reflective of that.

If you haven't had therapy before, I understand that finding a therapist and not knowing what to expect during the process can feel daunting. I will always create a safe and nurturing environment for those who are unsure or nervous.

Please don't hesitate to visit my website or get in touch for an initial call, or with any questions you may have about the process.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a PGDip in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London. I also have introductory certificates in individuals and couples psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy from the Tavistock Centre and in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

I've worked with people on a wide range of issues including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and low-mood, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and menopause, relationship difficulties, binge eating disorder, stress and burn out & change and transition.

I am continuing my professional development on a regular basis and am undertaking advanced training in the areas of trauma and compassion focused therapy (CFT).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
