About me
Maybe you're holding it together on the outside, but inside it feels like too much. It might be anxiety, depression, the weight of past trauma, or a knock to your confidence and self-esteem. It might be ADHD, relationship struggles that keep repeating, or low self-worth that feels hard to shake. Whatever it is, you don't need to explain it all perfectly, you just need somewhere to start.
I'm a BACP-registered therapist and my approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, which means we'll go at your pace. You'll be met with empathy, honesty, and respect. People often come to me feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure where to begin. Over time, you can start to feel more settled, more like yourself again, and like things are a little easier to face.
For some, that means exploring the roots of things: childhood wounds, past relationships, or grief. For others, it’s about breaking unhelpful patterns in the present: feeling unheard in relationships, finding it hard to trust, or getting caught in the same arguments again and again. There’s room for both.
I won't sit silently nodding; I'll ask questions, reflect things back, and help you make sense of what's happening, including the patterns and connections that might not have fully clicked yet. I'm warm, thoughtful, and direct. Clients tell me they feel more grounded and more able to respond to life, and to each other, rather than react.
I also work with couples who feel stuck in cycles of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding. Together, we slow things down and look beneath the surface of communication; to the emotions, fears, and longings that often go unseen. My focus isn't on who's right or wrong, but on helping you both feel heard and understood so you can reconnect with empathy and honesty. Whether you're rebuilding trust, trying to communicate better, or figuring out what's next, we'll work together to find new ways of relating that feel safer and more open.
If you've been holding things in for a long time, you don't have to keep doing that on your own. You're welcome to book a free introductory call so we can talk and see if this feels like the right fit. We'll start where you are. No rush, no pretence. If you'd like to talk, I'm here.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a BACP-registered psychotherapist with an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and additional training in trauma, grief, relational therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
I've worked across schools, charities, corporate environments, mental health services, and community organisations. What connects all of it is one thing: meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely met, not managed.
People come to me at all kinds of moments. Sometimes something specific has happened. Sometimes it's a slow build, a weight that's been there so long it started to feel normal. It might be anxiety, depression, burnout, or grief. Trauma, ADHD, or chronic stress. Struggles with self-worth, food, or control. The aftermath of abuse or betrayal. Questions around identity, belonging, or non-traditional relationships. Big emotions that feel hard to live with. Or just a quieter, persistent sense that something's not right, but you can't quite name it.
You don't need the right words. We start wherever you are.
For couples, I offer space to slow down and understand what's really happening underneath the conflict or distance. We'll explore the patterns that keep you stuck and help you both communicate from honesty and care rather than defence or blame. Whether you're rebuilding trust, trying to reconnect, or figuring out what's next, we'll find new ways of relating that feel safer and more open.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
