About me

Hello and welcome. My name is Kerry. I am currently taking on new clients either in person, online or telephone. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, hypnotherapist and Wingwave coach working with adults 18 and over.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means that I am bound by their ethics and code of conduct.

I know life can feel really tough sometimes, it can feel like we are 'stuck' in life's challenges, or 'lost' or 'overwhelmed' with negative feelings and emotions. Sometimes we can feel unhappy with our lives and not know where to turn. It can be 'daunting' taking the 1st step in contacting a therapist so if you have any questions please contact me.

I offer you a warm, welcoming, non judgemental space where we can explore what has brought you to therapy. I have a variety of skills and training where we can explore together and begin to make some changes. I use an integrative approach to therapy, by using a number of different therapeutic techniques such as person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theories and solution focused brief therapy.  My approach ensures that the therapy you receive is tailored to meet your needs and is personal to you.

I can help you explore many different life problems such as anxiety, anger issues, confidence issues, depression, fears and phobia, low mood, low self-esteem, not feeling good enough, OCD, relationship problem, stress, work related issues and more. My speciality is anxiety, stress and depression.

I offer you the space and comfort to work through the issues that may be causing you distress. Working with me you can just be yourself, I offer you the time where you can begin to relax, open up and feel understood and listened to so you can move forward and make changes.

We can work together to make positive changes to your life.

My practice is based in Scawsby, Doncaster, DN5 8LW.

You can decide whether you would like our sessions to be in person or remotely, online or by telephone.

I offer weekly sessions. Usually, a session lasts around 50 to 60 minutes, although this can be amended to suit your needs.

I have a lovely therapy room at my home where you can relax and feel comfortable to share your thoughts and feelings.

Please do get in touch for a free, warm and friendly chat about what you are wanting from counselling and how I could help you achieve this.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
