About me

Hello, my name is Juliana, and I’m an experienced counsellor in a range of different approaches. A trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for therapy to work. I am compassionate, honest, and warm. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and safe space. I am here to truly listen, working through things from your unique perspective.

What I offer

We will explore together your needs and difficulties, build upon your strengths and work towards your personal goals. I work in an empathic and accepting way to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and make positive changes in your life.

Where do I work?

Online or telephone.

My approach

I offer an integrative approach to suit your personality and the issues you would like to work on. Counselling is not one size fits all, we are all different and it’s important that you are presented with what is right for you. Exploring issues with compassion and support will lead to an authentic change in your life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Person-Centred counselling.

I also offer sessions in Portuguese and Italian.

What next?

I offer a 10 minute free consultation over the phone to introduce myself and arrange our first session. Sessions last 55 minutes and my fee is £60, paid by bank transfer. Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BABCP
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
