About me
As an integrative therapist I am able to adapt my approach to suit your individual needs. I offer therapy for a variety of issues which including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement and loss.
I provide a warm and friendly environment, working alongside you to explore your thoughts, concerns and feelings at your own pace in a confidential and non judgemental space. I believe that creating a genuine, therapeutic relationship can be transformative, enabling a deeper understanding and self-acceptance where I can support you moving forward. To be truly listened to, with empathy, understanding and compassion is a healing experience.
I provide counselling to adults with a wide range of issues and offer long and short term therapy either face to face, online or over the telephone. I work with adults on a one to one basis.
In addition to working as a counsellor both privately and within the NHS I have also been working as a qualified nurse for over 25 years. I feel working in different roles enables me to have a better understanding of certain medical conditions and be truly empathic.
I have a specialist interest in women’s health including pregnancy loss, fertility issues, recurrent miscarriage and menopause. I also have several years of experience in working with clients who have received a cancer diagnosis and work with either the patient, family member or carer that may be experiencing difficulties.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
