About me
As a Clinical Psychologist I have extensive experience and training in supporting people to navigate emotional and physical challenges.
My approach is down to earth, warm and curious. I love to solve problems and work collaboratively with people to get to the source of issues and make meaningful changes. I try not to take myself too seriously and bring authenticity and humour to my work.
Through tailoring evidence-based therapy approaches and developing a good relationship, we can work together to support you with whatever you are facing. I continue to work in the NHS working with adults.
I run an inclusive practice, respectful or difference and diversity, and have personal and professional experience of neurodivergence.
What I can help with
You may be feeling anxious, stressed, struggling with low self-esteem or critical self-talk, or perhaps dealing with the impact of difficult or traumatic past experiences. Perhaps you are navigating a health condition that has caused huge changes in your life. Maybe you can't even put your finger on what or why you feel stuck or low. Whatever has brought you to therapy, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental, space where we can work together to reduce distress and build new skills and perspectives.
What to expect in therapy - how does it work?
Therapy works by helping you to identify and understand your experiences, then work toward making changes you would like to see . My role (as the therapist) is to guide this process - we bring together my knowledge and experience of evidence-based therapies and your expertise on your own experiences.
Therapy will look different depending on what has brought you here. We would look at ways to support you to respond to your emotions, thoughts, and inner world more effectively, and hopefully live well in the here and now (rather than the past or future). We might also spend time exploring and navigating the challenges that life is giving you, past or current relationships, process trauma, or help you to become 'unstuck' and move forward.
I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapies to support this process.
Why choose to work with me?
It can be daunting choosing a therapist, let alone coming to therapy sessions. I believe that it is important to choose someone that you feel is a good fit and puts you at ease.
I offer a free, no pressure, initial consultation (phone or video) and am happy to answer any questions. You can get in touch via email or phone.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a Clinical Psychologist I am trained to a doctoral level. This means that I have done intensive supervised practice in the NHS delivering therapy alongside practical learning and study to become proficient in a range of approaches.
Alongside my private practice, I currently work in the NHS where I work supporting people with chronic pain conditions. I have over five years of experience in NHS roles, and prior to this, worked in various social care settings.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
