About me

Hello and welcome to my page.

I am a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP, a wellbeing and mindfulness coach. Providing counselling to adults, children, and young people.

My specialist qualification is in working with Children and Young people.(NCS Advanced practitioner ). As a mum of three, I know how difficult life is for our young people.

I have extensive experience as a senior school counsellor and currently work within one of the largest schools in Essex.  I am knowledgeable when working with gender diversity.

I am a trauma informed practitioner and have a special interest in narcissistic abuse within families. I support the Essex divorce & separation well being walks

I have worked in several addiction recovery services in Essex.

How can I help?

As an integrative therapist, I use a range of techniques tailored to the needs of each individual. I consider your specific issues. Collaboratively we can work together to help you understand yourself better and explore whatever has led you to counselling.

Providing a confidential, supportive, and safe space to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, this will help you to gain a better understanding of yourself and others.

I understand seeking professional help can be nerve wracking experience, especially if you haven’t had counselling before. You may be unsure of what to expect. With that in mind. I will always work at your pace and provide regular reviews so that we can make sure we are keeping on the right track.

I am available at both Ingatestone CM4 and Maldon CM9

The counselling room in Ingatestone is in the Village. It is private and discrete. Parking is available directly outside.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
