About me

Reaching out for therapy can be a huge step. Sometimes a particular experience leads us to access therapy, and sometimes we want to explore big themes in our lives. Often, we can benefit from exploring both of these areas and the impact of them on our day-to-day life and relationships.

I am interested in how our experiences shape who we are. Alongside working as a psychotherapist, I have spent twenty years working with education and charity settings with specialisms around safeguarding, self-harm and relationship dynamics. I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist which involves using a range of theories rather than one specific model.

I understand that our relationship is very important so I offer a free phone call to hear a bit about you and for you to get to know a bit more about me.

Training, qualifications & experience

MSc Integrative Psychotherapy

PGDip Trauma Informed Environments.

I have significant experience working with individuals who self-harm, or those who support people who do.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
