UKCP Integrative Psychotherapist
Balsall Common, CV7 7EB

About me

I am based in Balsall Common, which is a short drive from Coventry, Solihull, Kenilworth or  Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a huge step. Sometimes, a particular experience leads us to seek therapy, or perhaps we want to explore significant themes in our lives or how we relate to others. You may want to explore both of these. Maybe you're currently feeling that you would  benefit from exploring the impact our past has  on our day-to-day life and relationships

I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist, which involves integrating a range of theories and recognising and accepting the parts of ourselves and the feelings we may have rejected. I am to create a safe space for you to share your story and explore your feelings. I am flexible in my approach and happy to build on the work you have done with previous counsellors or therapists.

I offer weekly sessions on either an open-ended or a fixed-term basis. I tend to work long-term to enable us to build a strong relationship and work towards meaningful change.

Alongside working as a psychotherapist, I have spent twenty years working with education and charity settings with specialisms around safeguarding, self-harm and relationship dynamics.

I understand that our relationship is very important, so I offer a free 15-minute assessment to hear a bit about you and for you to get to know a bit more about me.

Training, qualifications & experience

MSc Integrative Psychotherapy.  This means I spent four years studying psychotherapy and completed 450 voluntary hours before I was qualified.

Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I spent my career in the voluntary sector and in education settings. My main focus was on safeguarding and emotional well-being. I have significant experience working with individuals who self-harm, or those who support people who do.

More recently, I have begun additional training in supporting those who have been involved in high-control religions and cults or have family and friends involved.
