About me

Reaching out for therapy can be a huge step. Sometimes a particular experience leads us to access therapy, and sometimes we want to explore big themes in our lives or how we relate to other people. Often, we can benefit from exploring all of these areas and the impact of them on our day-to-day life and relationships

I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist which involves using a range of theories rather than one specific model. Many people have tried one approach such as CBT and I am happy to build on existing strategies.

Alongside working as a psychotherapist, I have spent twenty years working with education and charity settings with specialisms around safeguarding, self-harm and relationship dynamics.

I understand that our relationship is very important so I offer a free 15 minute assessment to hear a bit about you and for you to get to know a bit more about me.

Training, qualifications & experience

MSc Integrative Psychotherapy

Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I spent ten years in the voluntary sector and in education settings. My main focus was safeguarding and emotional welbeing. I have significant experience working with individuals who self-harm, or those who support people who do.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
