About me

Hi I am Jane, I'm a Qualified Integrative Counsellor; where I combine a mixture of different methods and approaches.                                                                        I've found  interweaving these modalities helps to promote clients functions within their emotional, physical and mental health to maximise their potential, in regards to exploring and recognising patterns of behaviour and setting goals.

I offer individual Face to Face counselling at the Elysian Centre in Rye East Sussex and home visits within a 15 mile radius of Rye as well as being a Certified Online and Telephone Counsellor offering sessions remotely if preferred.

I work mainly with adults, who may present issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger issues, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and bereavement and those who wish to explore and work with trauma or abuse from their past and the impact it may be having on their lives today.

I offer long or short term counselling depending on the clients needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

I offer counselling sessions on a weekly basis.

Once the initial contact has been made by yourself, I will contact you back either by email or text  whichever is best for you to arrange a time and date for a free initial call.

The first initial call, is for you to get a feel about how I work, what counselling involves and how it may help you. I will ask you questions about your current difficulties and the impact it maybe having on your life today and aspects of your personal history.

It also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to identify your own goals of counselling and what you would like to achieve. Equally there is no obligation for you to enter into having counselling sessions after the initial call.
