About me
Specialist in Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD & Low Self-Esteem
Integrative online therapy across London, Surrey and the UK
Based in South West London / Kingston upon Thames
A note for you
You might look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside you feel tense, tired, or on edge. Maybe your mind won’t switch off, you’re constantly overthinking, or you keep falling into the same patterns in relationships. Many of the people I work with have spent years being the “capable one” high-functioning, responsible, supportive while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or not good enough.
I’m Irena, an integrative psychotherapist, and I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you don’t have to perform. Together we make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, build emotional safety, and develop practical ways forward so life starts to feel more like yours again.
Who I help
I support adults and young adults with:
Anxiety, stress and panic – racing thoughts, dread, intrusive “what ifs”, physical anxiety symptoms
ADHD and emotional regulation – overwhelm, procrastination, shame, self-trust, identity and self-esteem
Low self-esteem and perfectionism – harsh inner critic, people-pleasing, fear of getting it wrong
Childhood trauma / emotional neglect – feeling “too much” or “not enough”, hyper-independence, difficulty trusting
Relationships and family dynamics – attachment patterns, emotionally unavailable partners, boundaries and communication
Burnout and depression – exhaustion, numbness, loss of motivation, feeling flat or stuck
Identity and life transitions – including LGBTQIA+ affirming support and space to explore safely
If you’re not in crisis but something feels off — like you’re surviving rather than living — therapy can still be the right step.
What working with me is like
My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded. Some sessions are reflective and depth-focused; others are more practical and stabilising. We go at your pace.
Depending on what you need, we might:
map anxiety cycles and calm the nervous system
explore the roots of self-criticism, shame and people-pleasing
work with “parts” of you that feel younger, scared, angry or alone (inner child work)
notice and shift long-standing relational patterns
build tools for boundaries, emotional regulation and self-trust
make sense of how past experiences still show up in the present
You won’t be treated like a diagnosis. You’ll be met as a person.
My integrative training
I draw from evidence-based and relational approaches, including:
Person-centred therapy (a steady, accepting therapeutic relationship)
Psychodynamic therapy (understanding patterns shaped by early experience)
CBT-informed work (working with thoughts, behaviours and anxiety cycles)
Schema therapy and mindfulness (breaking repeating patterns and increasing self-awareness)
Inner child work (creating safety, compassion and integration)
Online therapy
All sessions are online, and I work with clients across London, Surrey and the UK. Online therapy can be as effective as in-person and offers flexibility around work, parenting and busy lives. You simply need a private space and a reliable device/connection.
Next steps
I currently have a limited number of spaces available. If what you’ve read resonates, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute introduction call. It’s a chance to share what’s bringing you, ask questions, and see whether we feel like a good fit — no pressure.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
