About me
Hi, I’m Irena, and I’m here to support you on your journey to healing, growth, and self-discovery. Life can be challenging, and whether you’re navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, or the impact of childhood trauma, you don’t have to face it alone. I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and reconnect with what truly matters.
I’m not just a counsellor—I’m human too. I know how important it is to feel understood and accepted for who you are. My approach is deeply personal, and I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. Together, we’ll create a safe environment where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to make lasting changes in your life.
What I Offer
I welcome adults and young adults from all walks of life and specialize in supporting individuals through:
• Childhood Trauma & Inner Child Healing: Helping you reconnect with the wounded parts of yourself, honor your emotions, and build a sense of safety within. Together, we’ll work toward healing old wounds so you can move forward with strength and self-compassion.
• Anxiety, Stress, & Depression: Providing tools and strategies to help you feel grounded, calm, and more in control.
• Low Self-Esteem & Self-Worth: Supporting you in developing self-confidence, self-compassion, and a deeper understanding of your unique value.
• Relationship Challenges: Whether you’re navigating family dynamics, romantic relationships, or friendships, I’ll help you understand patterns and create healthier connections.
• Transgender Transition Support: I offer a safe, inclusive space for individuals exploring their gender identity or navigating the emotional challenges of transitioning. My approach is affirming, empathetic, and tailored to your journey.
Whatever your circumstances, my aim is to help you reconnect with yourself and find ways to thrive.
My Approach
I use an integrative approach that adapts to your needs, combining:
• Person-Centered Therapy: Providing a foundation of warmth, empathy, and unconditional acceptance.
• Psychodynamic Therapy: Exploring how your past shapes your present and uncovering patterns that no longer serve you.
• Schema Therapy & Mindfulness: Offering practical tools to help you break free from unhelpful cycles and ground yourself in the present.
A significant part of my work focuses on inner child healing, which involves reconnecting with the parts of yourself shaped by childhood experiences. Together, we’ll work on creating a sense of safety, self-acceptance, and empowerment to live a more fulfilling life.
Why Choose Me?
What sets me apart is my ability to connect deeply and authentically with my clients. I’ve worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including women, LGBTQIA+ clients, and those navigating significant life transitions. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in a belief that you have the strength and capacity to create meaningful change.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to start, I’ll meet you where you are. With me, nothing is too big or small to bring to therapy—this is your space, and you’re welcome as you are.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
