About me
Hello, I am a qualified and experienced therapist and I welcome you to your safe space. I can assist with various aspects of life and have a special interest in Anxiety, Depression, Relationships (work, couples, romantic, familial, business), Trauma, Self-Esteem, Autism, and Cultural diversity.
I believe that each person's needs are unique and my training allows me to tailor a variety of approaches to meet your specific requirements. In our sessions, you are my highest priority—here, you can be completely yourself without fear of judgment. I have unconditional positive regard and empathy for you and may offer gentle challenges when you are ready, to help embrace change, build resilience, and foster growth. You may also be seeking a safe space where acceptance thrives, to develop self-care and self-compassion. My style during sessions is adaptive to suit you and we will work collaboratively and transparently.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a background in Psychology and a membership with the British Psychological Society as well as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, both overseeing my ethics and development. I am also an NLP coach (ABNLP accredited), part of a community looking to transform self-limiting beliefs. After working in the Corporate world and leading various teams where I have mentored and coached, I have circled back to my first love, this time forging direct connections with people. I have trained at Regents University and The Awareness Centre in Integrative counselling. This means I use a variety of approaches, ranging from Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused, Existential therapy and Coaching techniques amongst others. This tool kit allows me to provide a personalised therapeutic plan for each individual’s journey.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
