Anxiety, Depression , Relationships, Childhood impact

About me

I understand what it’s like to carry anxiety or stress,  to feel unsure of where you belong . This may be within yourself or in your relationships. Sometimes, those very relationships can heighten anxiety, bring loneliness, trigger social anxiety, or lead to work-related stress, couple conflict, or family issues.

It can leave you feeling less confident, struggling with low self-esteem, or simply feeling sad. I’ve been there. Therapy made a real difference for me, and it has for many of my clients too. I can help.

I offer a warm, inclusive space where your identity and lived experiences are fully respected. My approach draws from a broad toolkit shaped by NHS and voluntary sector work, integrative psychotherapy training, and coaching. Together we  explore your emotions for better understanding as well as develop strategies  to help you cope and regulate.

You can read more below about what brings some of my clients to therapy and how I support them. If you'd like to talk, feel free to get in touch for a free 10-minute chat.

What may bring you here

  • What you’re feeling may have deeper roots,  perhaps linked to childhood trauma,  past experiences.
  • You may  be navigating complex family or intimacy dynamics, intergenerational stress, or the pressure of balancing different values.
  • You grew up between cultures, from an immigrant family, or feel caught between worlds. These experiences can shape your sense of belonging.
  • Current life events, such as bereavement, loss, redundancy, breakups, or major transitions can bring these feelings even more to the surface.

Together, we can begin to make sense of it all,  gently, at your pace.

How I can help you

  •  Low mood ,depression, sleep issues, overthinking  – I help you understand your inner world, regulate emotions, and feel grounded.
  • Self-esteem, confidence, people-pleasing – I support you to set boundaries, quiet inner critics, and reconnect with yourself.
  • Relationship challenges ; betrayals, affairs, feel invisible – I guide you to communicate, rebuild trust, manage conflicts, listen to each other.
  • Childhood trauma and early  patterns – I help you make sense of your past, recognise your triggers, and begin to heal what’s underneath.
  • Illness, redundancy, and life transitions – I support you to  honour your losses, navigate uncertainty, and rebuild during times of change.
  • Cultural identity and cross-cultural pressures – I guide you to explore your roots and identity in a safe space , whether you’re first or second-generation, from mixed heritage, or living between worlds.

How I work

Therapy with me is flexible and led by you. Some sessions bring deep emotions, others clarity, laughter and sometimes silence.  Others may feel gently challenging. I will be there to support you.

We might explore emotional patterns, how your body holds stress, or develop practical tools to help you cope. We do that together by building a therapeutic relationship and of course through the approaches  I am trained in;  such as Person- Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT , Solution Focused, Existentialism, Gestalt  and others.

Importantly, you don’t need the “right” words to express yourself.   Just a safe place to start.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
